Access approximate location (network-based) only in the foreground My Tracks can get your location based on network sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi networks, but only when when My Tracks is in the foreground. These location services must be turned on and available on your tablet for My Tracks to be able to use them.

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Access precise location only in the foreground My Tracks can get your exact location only when it is in the foreground. These location services must be turned on and available on your phone for My Tracks to be able to use them. This may increase battery consumption.

GET_ACCOUNTS

Find accounts on the device Allows My Tracks to get the list of accounts known by the tablet. This may include any accounts created by applications you have installed.

MANAGE_ACCOUNTS

Add or remove accounts Allows My Tracks to perform operations like adding and removing accounts, and deleting their password.

READ_CONTACTS

Read your contacts Allows My Tracks to read data about your contacts stored on your tablet. This permission allows My Tracks to save your contact data, and malicious apps may share contact data without your knowledge.

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Read sync settings Allows My Tracks to read the sync settings for an account. For example, this can determine whether the People app is synced with an account.

READ_SYNC_STATS

Read sync statistics Allows My Tracks to read the sync stats for an account, including the history of sync events and how much data is synced.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Run at startup Allows My Tracks to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the tablet and allow My Tracks to slow down the overall tablet by always running.

WAKE_LOCK

Keep car screen turned on Allows My Tracks to keep the car screen turned on.

WRITE_SYNC_SETTINGS

Toggle sync on and off Allows My Tracks to modify the sync settings for an account. For example, this can be used to enable sync of the People app with an account.
