ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

Access approximate location (network-based) only in the foreground TextMe can get your location based on network sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi networks, but only when when TextMe is in the foreground. These location services must be turned on and available on your tablet for TextMe to be able to use them.

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Access precise location only in the foreground TextMe can get your exact location only when it is in the foreground. These location services must be turned on and available on your phone for TextMe to be able to use them. This may increase battery consumption.

AUTHENTICATE_ACCOUNTS

Create accounts and set passwords Allows TextMe to use the account authenticator capabilities of the AccountManager, including creating accounts and getting and setting their passwords.

CALL_PHONE

Directly call phone numbers Allows TextMe to call phone numbers without your intervention. This may result in unexpected charges or calls. Note that this doesn't allow TextMe to call emergency numbers. Malicious apps may cost you money by making calls without your confirmation.

CAMERA

Take pictures and videos TextMe can take pictures and record videos using the camera at any time.

GET_ACCOUNTS

Find accounts on the device Allows TextMe to get the list of accounts known by the tablet. This may include any accounts created by applications you have installed.

MANAGE_ACCOUNTS

Add or remove accounts Allows TextMe to perform operations like adding and removing accounts, and deleting their password.

PROCESS_OUTGOING_CALLS

Reroute outgoing calls Allows TextMe to see the number being dialed during an outgoing call with the option to redirect the call to a different number or abort the call altogether.

READ_CONTACTS

Read your contacts Allows TextMe to read data about your contacts stored on your tablet. This permission allows TextMe to save your contact data, and malicious apps may share contact data without your knowledge.

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Read the contents of your shared storage Allows TextMe to read the contents of your shared storage.

READ_PHONE_STATE

Read phone status and identity Allows TextMe to access the phone features of the device. This permission allows TextMe to determine the phone number and device IDs, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a call.

READ_PROFILE

Read your own contact card Allows TextMe to read personal profile information stored on your device, such as your name and contact information. This means TextMe can identify you and may send your profile information to others.

RECORD_AUDIO

Record audio TextMe can record audio using the microphone at any time.

USE_CREDENTIALS

Use accounts on the device Allows TextMe to request authentication tokens.

WRITE_CONTACTS

Modify your contacts Allows TextMe to modify the data about your contacts stored on your tablet. This permission allows TextMe to delete contact data.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Modify or delete the contents of your shared storage Allows TextMe to write the contents of your shared storage.

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

View network connections Allows TextMe to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE

View Wi-Fi connections Allows TextMe to view information about Wi-Fi networking, such as whether Wi-Fi is enabled and name of connected Wi-Fi devices.

BLUETOOTH

Pair with Bluetooth devices Allows TextMe to view the configuration of Bluetooth on the tablet, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.

BROADCAST_STICKY

Send sticky broadcast Allows TextMe to send sticky broadcasts, which remain after the broadcast ends. Excessive use may make the tablet slow or unstable by causing it to use too much memory.

INTERNET

Have full network access Allows TextMe to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS

Change your audio settings Allows TextMe to modify global audio settings such as volume and which speaker is used for output.

Read sync settings Allows TextMe to read the sync settings for an account. For example, this can determine whether the People app is synced with an account.

READ_SYNC_STATS

Read sync statistics Allows TextMe to read the sync stats for an account, including the history of sync events and how much data is synced.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Run at startup Allows TextMe to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the tablet and allow TextMe to slow down the overall tablet by always running.

SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW

TextMe can appear on top of other apps TextMe can appear on top of other apps or other parts of the screen. This may interfere with normal app usage and change the way that other apps appear.

VIBRATE

Control vibration Allows TextMe to control the vibrator.

WAKE_LOCK

Keep car screen turned on Allows TextMe to keep the car screen turned on.

WRITE_SYNC_SETTINGS

Toggle sync on and off Allows TextMe to modify the sync settings for an account. For example, this can be used to enable sync of the People app with an account.
