ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

Access approximate location (network-based) only in the foreground Truphone can get your location based on network sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi networks, but only when when Truphone is in the foreground. These location services must be turned on and available on your tablet for Truphone to be able to use them.

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Access precise location only in the foreground Truphone can get your exact location only when it is in the foreground. These location services must be turned on and available on your phone for Truphone to be able to use them. This may increase battery consumption.

AUTHENTICATE_ACCOUNTS

Create accounts and set passwords Allows Truphone to use the account authenticator capabilities of the AccountManager, including creating accounts and getting and setting their passwords.

CALL_PHONE

Directly call phone numbers Allows Truphone to call phone numbers without your intervention. This may result in unexpected charges or calls. Note that this doesn't allow Truphone to call emergency numbers. Malicious apps may cost you money by making calls without your confirmation.

GET_ACCOUNTS

Find accounts on the device Allows Truphone to get the list of accounts known by the tablet. This may include any accounts created by applications you have installed.

MANAGE_ACCOUNTS

Add or remove accounts Allows Truphone to perform operations like adding and removing accounts, and deleting their password.

Read call log Truphone can read your call history.

READ_CONTACTS

Read the contents of your shared storage Allows Truphone to read the contents of your shared storage.

READ_PHONE_STATE

Read phone status and identity Allows Truphone to access the phone features of the device. This permission allows Truphone to determine the phone number and device IDs, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a call.

READ_PROFILE

Read your own contact card Allows Truphone to read personal profile information stored on your device, such as your name and contact information. This means Truphone can identify you and may send your profile information to others.

READ_SMS

Read your text messages (SMS or MMS) Truphone can read all SMS (text) messages stored on your tablet.

RECORD_AUDIO

Record audio Truphone can record audio using the microphone at any time.

WRITE_CALL_LOG

Write call log Allows Truphone to modify your tablet's call log, including data about incoming and outgoing calls. Malicious apps may use this to erase or modify your call log.

WRITE_CONTACTS

Modify your contacts Allows Truphone to modify the data about your contacts stored on your tablet. This permission allows Truphone to delete contact data.

View network connections Allows Truphone to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

View Wi-Fi connections Allows Truphone to view information about Wi-Fi networking, such as whether Wi-Fi is enabled and name of connected Wi-Fi devices.

BLUETOOTH

Pair with Bluetooth devices Allows Truphone to view the configuration of Bluetooth on the tablet, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.

DISABLE_KEYGUARD

Disable your screen lock Allows Truphone to disable the keylock and any associated password security. For example, the phone disables the keylock when receiving an incoming phone call, then re-enables the keylock when the call is finished.

INTERNET

Have full network access Allows Truphone to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS

Change your audio settings Allows Truphone to modify global audio settings such as volume and which speaker is used for output.

READ_SYNC_SETTINGS

Read sync settings Allows Truphone to read the sync settings for an account. For example, this can determine whether the People app is synced with an account.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Run at startup Allows Truphone to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the tablet and allow Truphone to slow down the overall tablet by always running.

VIBRATE

Control vibration Allows Truphone to control the vibrator.

WAKE_LOCK

Keep car screen turned on Allows Truphone to keep the car screen turned on.

WRITE_SYNC_SETTINGS

Toggle sync on and off Allows Truphone to modify the sync settings for an account. For example, this can be used to enable sync of the People app with an account.
