ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

Access approximate location (network-based) only in the foreground Atooma can get your location based on network sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi networks, but only when when Atooma is in the foreground. These location services must be turned on and available on your tablet for Atooma to be able to use them.

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Access precise location only in the foreground Atooma can get your exact location only when it is in the foreground. These location services must be turned on and available on your phone for Atooma to be able to use them. This may increase battery consumption.

AUTHENTICATE_ACCOUNTS

Create accounts and set passwords Allows Atooma to use the account authenticator capabilities of the AccountManager, including creating accounts and getting and setting their passwords.

CALL_PHONE

Directly call phone numbers Allows Atooma to call phone numbers without your intervention. This may result in unexpected charges or calls. Note that this doesn't allow Atooma to call emergency numbers. Malicious apps may cost you money by making calls without your confirmation.

GET_ACCOUNTS

Find accounts on the device Allows Atooma to get the list of accounts known by the tablet. This may include any accounts created by applications you have installed.

MANAGE_ACCOUNTS

Add or remove accounts Allows Atooma to perform operations like adding and removing accounts, and deleting their password.

READ_CONTACTS

Read your contacts Allows Atooma to read data about your contacts stored on your tablet. This permission allows Atooma to save your contact data, and malicious apps may share contact data without your knowledge.

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Read the contents of your shared storage Allows Atooma to read the contents of your shared storage.

READ_PHONE_STATE

Read phone status and identity Allows Atooma to access the phone features of the device. This permission allows Atooma to determine the phone number and device IDs, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a call.

READ_SMS

Read your text messages (SMS or MMS) Atooma can read all SMS (text) messages stored on your tablet.

RECEIVE_SMS

Receive text messages (SMS) Allows Atooma to receive and process SMS messages. This means Atooma could monitor or delete messages sent to your device without showing them to you.

RECORD_AUDIO

Record audio Atooma can record audio using the microphone at any time.

SEND_SMS

Send and view SMS messages Allows Atooma to send SMS messages. This may result in unexpected charges. Malicious apps may cost you money by sending messages without your confirmation.

Use accounts on the device Allows Atooma to request authentication tokens.

Modify or delete the contents of your shared storage Allows Atooma to write the contents of your shared storage.

Pair with Bluetooth devices Allows Atooma to view the configuration of Bluetooth on the tablet, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.

Access Bluetooth settings Allows Atooma to configure the local Bluetooth tablet, and to discover and pair with remote devices.

CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE

Change network connectivity Allows Atooma to change the state of network connectivity.

CHANGE_WIFI_STATE

Connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi Allows Atooma to connect to and disconnect from Wi-Fi access points and to make changes to device configuration for Wi-Fi networks.

INTERNET

Have full network access Allows Atooma to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

Control Near Field Communication Allows Atooma to communicate with Near Field Communication (NFC) tags, cards, and readers.

READ_SYNC_SETTINGS

Read sync settings Allows Atooma to read the sync settings for an account. For example, this can determine whether the People app is synced with an account.

READ_SYNC_STATS

Read sync statistics Allows Atooma to read the sync stats for an account, including the history of sync events and how much data is synced.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Run at startup Allows Atooma to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the tablet and allow Atooma to slow down the overall tablet by always running.

VIBRATE

Control vibration Allows Atooma to control the vibrator.

WAKE_LOCK

Keep car screen turned on Allows Atooma to keep the car screen turned on.

WRITE_SETTINGS

Modify system settings Allows Atooma to modify the system's settings data. Malicious apps may corrupt your system's configuration.

WRITE_SYNC_SETTINGS

Toggle sync on and off Allows Atooma to modify the sync settings for an account. For example, this can be used to enable sync of the People app with an account.
